Mikayla Kirr
About Me
Hello! My name is Mikayla Kirr, and I am a 21-year-old aspiring actor. Apart from acting, singing, and dancing, I like to say I have a skill set akin to a shieldmaiden of Rohan or a Jedi knight. Swordfighting, hand-to-hand stage combat, horseback riding, sewing, and swimming! This came from a very busy adolescence, when I was discovering what I really enjoyed doing with my time.
I was very lucky to figure that out at eight years old when my mother signed me up for a theatre camp over the summer. In the true spirit of a young and stubborn 8-year-old, I was exceedingly upset with her for doing this without my permission. And in the even truer spirit of Mother knows best, she was right. I have her to thank for setting me down the path of performance.
A few career highlights so far include performing on the Kennedy Center stage in 2022 when my high school, South Lakes HS in Reston, VA, was nominated for over 15 Cappie awards, including Best song and Best musical. I also costume designed for Lorton Workhouse Performing Arts’ production of “Evil Dead: The Musical” in 2025.
